The Ansonia High football team came back from a 14-0 deficit to tie its Class S state championship game with Bloomfield, but the Warhawks prevailed with a 31-20 victory to take the CIAC Class S State championship.

Tyler Bailey scored on a 7-yard run to make the score 14-6.
Bailey vaulted over a pair of defenders to score on 4th-and-goal from the three to make it 14-14 with 10 seconds remaining in the third quarter.
Jose Crespo caught this third quarter pass from Rayshawn Phillips to give Bloomfield a 24-14 lead.
