When asked what he did during the winter, baseball legend Rogers Hornsby replied, “People ask me what I do in winter when there’s no baseball. I’ll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring.”
After a long winter here in the Northeast, spring, and more importantly, baseball, is finally here. Shot my first game of the season Saturday morning, and the weather was truly glorious. Jonathan Law defeated Foran High, 11-0, but the score didn’t matter. Just being out in the warm sun made it a good day.
Law’s Jim Palmer hits a 2-run blast in the fifth inning
Law’s Kevin Johnson is out at the plate in the 2nd inning
Brian Johnson threw six innings of three hit, shutout ball
Rounding third and a headin’ for home…
