Seymour High’s Joe Salemme rushed for 350 yards on 37 carries, leading Seymour to a 33-27 victory over the Amity Spartans Thursday night. For most of the night, I felt like I couldn’t hit water if I fell out of a boat – it seemed like every big play went to the other side of the field. Fortunately persistence, or in my case, stubbornness won out.
