My hometown is extremely picturesque in the classic New England style – beautiful town green, iconic churches that span hundreds of years, miles of Connecticut shoreline, and can be very pretty to shoot with a fresh snowfall.
This winter has been terrible: when we haven’t been getting snow by the foot, we’ve been getting record-setting Arctic temperatures. As a result, I haven’t felt like shooting outside much at all. Yesterday was an exception. After getting another 6 inches of snow Saturday night, the sun came out, and the temperatures almost hit 40. You know it’s been too cold if 40 degrees feels like a relief.
This is the pier at Gulf Beach, which I have shown here in warmer months, looking like it’s on the coast of Alaska rather than the Connecticut Shore
