Had a mini doubleheader of sorts Saturday. I was originally assigned to cover St. Joseph high football, but when that became a laugher rather early, I headed to the soccer field where the Lady Cadets were facing off against Ridgefield high in the CIAC Class LL State tournament.
First, the Cadets defense was unstoppable as they defeated Staples High, 50-0.

Ridgefield defeated St. Joseph, 2-1, to advance to the semi-finals.
