In the fourth game Saturday (!), Fairfield Prep took on Westhill High for the Class LL title. Prep hadn’t won the state title since 1997, and after losing in the finals in 2011, 2013, and 2014, the Jesuits rightfully wondered if they would ever get over the hump again. Led by Patrick Harding with 13 points, and Rich Kelly and Thomas Nolan adding 12 apiece, Prep held on to win 51-50.
