Shelton vs. Notre Dame (West Haven) – High School Football

October 5, 2015 By David Whitham

Rain. Shooting a game in the rain is not a lot of fun. You have to make sure you protect your equipment, and yourself, from the elements, and the game itself seems to be run in slow motion. With the rain comes slick footballs, slick footballs bring conservative offensive plays, and conservative offensive plays means very little passing. The one good thing about rain is the potential drama you can catch as the water goes flying when contact is made.

Friday night was one such night. Rainy, windy, cold and miserable, but it still beats the best day behind a desk…. The Shelton Gaels defeated the Note Dame Green Knights of West Haven, 17-7at Veterans Stadium in West Haven.
